His eyes flared with anger as he stormed towards me. His powerful hands grabbed my shoulders as he looked into my eyes.
"HICCUP!" he bellowed, looking for his son. Me fellow dragon rider rushed towards us. I started to squirm with uncomfortable tension. Hiccup looked at me, then to his father's singed beard.
"Yes, Dad?" he asked, eyeing my form.
"Take your dragon and keep him far away from me!" Stoick yelled, throwing me to the ground. I let out the slightest whimper. Hiccup knelt by me and observed with confusion.
"I've never seen this dragon before," he said softly.
"What?" Stoick asked.
"I've never seen this dragon before. Interesting breed-Sand Wraith-but not one of ours," Hiccup rose. I stood up and stretched my wings.
"What do you mean?" Stoick rumbled. I looked at them both and growled. My brain shut down. I narrowed my eyes and opened my mouth, heat rising in my gullet. Hiccup backed up with fear. Stoick's eyes met mine. I narrowed my eyes further, my mouth ablaze.
"There you are!" Freydah's voice snapped me out of my daze. I looked around, afraid of what I could've done. I turned to her, tail lashing. She approached me calmly. I hunched myself tightly together. She knelt by me and winked slightly, then stood up.
"This dragon crash landed here earlier today. I've been nurturing him all morning. I'm afraid he may have gotten away. I hope he didn't cause you much trouble," she lied. She actually stuck up for me, I thought. I grinned slightly. I played along and limped toward her. Stoick grumbled under his breath, something that sounded like an apology. Freydah nodded and mounted my back quickly.
"Go on, to the hatchery," she said quietly. I spread my wings and launched us upward.
As we landed at the hatchery, I noticed her sigh softly. I looked up at her, then to the setting sun.
"We only have one more day, Snotlout. Then the spell is permanent," she said, tears in her eyes. My eyes widened slightly. I only had one more day to undo this curse, and it wasn't going to be easy, especially considering I didn't know how to undo it. I closed my eyes and sighed, going to bed.
