The war had been lasting over five centuries. The different species were all fighting eachother with deep fury. It didn't just stop at species. The different element clans were fighting within eachother. No one knew what to do. No one knew who to trust or who was the real enemy. There were six different races in the war. There were fairies, harpies, satyrs, Amazons, beast-men, and elementalists. Each against eachother. Six lands caught between the darkest war they've ever known.

Veridesh, the fae queen, sat on her throne. There, she reviewed her latest battle strategy, and how it could have failed her.

"There is no possible way it could have failed...It was foolproof!" she muttered to herself, her large, transparent blue wings fluttering slightly. There was a loud knocking sound from the chamber door. "Come in!" Veridesh shouted.

A small, young man entered the room. "My queen," said he, "I fear I have despairing news about the war."

"What new about the war isn't despairing?!" she snapped, irritated.

"This is worse! Our battle captain Surgh is dead. He was killed by the elementalist tribe."

"What element?" the queen asked, plotting revenge.

"Air."

"Then they shall pay for their insolence!" Veridesh rose up from her throne. She was not going to sit there, letting the war go on not in her favor.

Syren, an Amazon, sat on the cliffside. Her mace rested in her hand and her axe was placed into the ground. She didn't see why this war was so important, nor why she had to be a part of it. It was foolish to fight because of species or elements.

"I have a duty to this war and to my captain, but I don't know why it must be done..." she whispered to herself. "Is it really worth the blood and sorrow if thousands of people die for nothing but land?"

Syren threw a large stone into the crashing seas below. She saw something glisten in the waters. The eyes that were once filled with sorrow were now filled with curiosity as she ran down the less steep edge of the cliff.

"Hello?" she called over the sound of the waves. "Is anyone here?" No answer was heard, and she started to look for the shimmer again. Another sparkle was caught and she reached into the water. She felt something warm touch her hand as she grasped the shining object.

Zelluk gazed over his dark, grimy kingdom. He was proud of his goblin warriors. They had been fighting so amazingly, he knew the war would soon be over, and in his own favor. He was espicially proud of his finest warrior, Ramir. As soon as the war was over, Zelluk had decided, Ramir would be most definitely rewarded in the finest way possible.

Meanwhile, Ramir was practicing his archery in his chambers. He laughed to himself, thinking about how easy it was to win against the other pathetic races. The only other race that was almost as good enough as the goblins were the Amazons, Ramir thought.

"But that's only because they're well trained and all one element..." he finished his sentence outloud.

"What was that, Ramir?" a voice asked from the shadows.

"Borrus, what are you doing here?" Ramir asked his friend.

"Spyin' on you, as usual!" Borrus smiled, showing off his fangs.

"Well don't. I happen to be incredibly busy training myself for when I am put back into the war," Ramir said sharply.

"Ah, Ramir, you used to be such a fun guy!" Borrus whined. He shrugged, then jumped back into the darkness.
it happens.
